Homelessness often renders individuals invisible within our community. At Federated Charities, we are committed to upholding the dignity of those who rely on our network of partner nonprofits. With a generous community promotions grant from the City of Frederick, awarded in 2024, our staff delivered backpacks, fanny packs and quick dry towels in June to individuals being service at the Frederick Rescue Mission by Living Water Shower Ministry. This project was founded on a simple belief: no one should have to carry their belongings in a garbage bag. This project was also designed to highlight our small-scale community service programming (like the Mitten Project and Power of Change) and illustrates that there are simple ways for everyday individuals to make a difference for someone else in Frederick.
